This policy explains how mdview.io handles information when you view, save, process, or share Markdown documents. For privacy questions or requests, contact igor@igorstechnoclub.com.

Documents and account data

Markdown opened from your device can be rendered in your browser without being saved. When you choose to save, publish, share, fix, review, export, or otherwise process a document using a server feature, mdview.io receives the content and the information needed to provide that feature. Public share links can be accessed by anyone who has the URL and may be indexed unless the owner disables indexing or the document does not meet mdview.io's indexing criteria.

Clerk provides authentication and account management. Stripe processes payments; mdview.io receives transaction and entitlement information but does not store full payment-card details. If you connect X, mdview.io processes the authorization and bookmark data needed for the requested synchronization.

AI-assisted features

Features such as Quick Fix, document chat, architecture review, security checks, and generated search descriptions may send relevant document content and instructions to OpenRouter and the selected model provider. Do not submit secrets or personal information that you are not authorized to process.

Analytics and cookies

mdview.io uses PostHog, Ahrefs Analytics, and nocookieanalytics to understand usage, diagnose failures, and improve the service. These providers may receive technical information such as page URLs, device and browser details, approximate location, identifiers, and interaction events according to their own policies.

Use, sharing, and retention

Information is used to operate, secure, support, analyze, and improve mdview.io; fulfill purchases; prevent abuse; and comply with legal obligations. It is shared with service providers only as needed for those purposes, or when required by law. Data is retained for as long as needed to provide the service, meet security, accounting, and legal obligations, or until it is deleted through available product controls or a valid request.

Your choices and rights

You can keep documents local, avoid publishing share links, delete saved documents, disconnect integrations, and request access, correction, deletion, or export of personal data. Requests may require identity verification. Depending on your location, additional legal rights may apply.

This policy may change when the service or legal requirements change. Material updates will be reflected by the date at the top of this page.
